Denham Blythe’s renovation of the Visitor Center at Buffalo Trace Distillery transformed the space into a modern and welcoming facility for visitors. The project included significant structural changes, new amenities, and a careful preservation of the building’s historic elements.
New first floor: Office space, restrooms, fitting rooms, and two storage rooms
New second floor: Six tasting rooms with storefront glass separation walls, tasting bars, and sliding barn doors; catering kitchen; employee breakroom; restrooms; storage space; and new manager’s office
Structural changes: Demolished walls to create an open and unified space on both floors
Historic preservation: Refinished existing hardwood floors and reconditioned original wood windows and interior concrete slabs
Outdoor pavilion: Constructed elevated pavilion with operable glass garage doors
Staircase: Main staircase constructed from rough-cut oak lumber
