Barton Boiler Building

Boiler Building

Barton 1792 Distillery

Bardstown, Kentucky

Denham-Blythe Company was responsible for the design and construction of a new 16,500 SF PEMB structure to house (2) new high efficiency process boilers. The site location required mass excavation of rock for the 4,500 SF basement and a shoring stabilization system for the surrounding slopes adjacent to the new building.

  • The project also included new offices, restrooms, conference and central control room spaces.

  • Multiple access platforms, stairs and a mezzanine were installed for accessibility needs and storage of process related items.

  • Veins of underground spring water had to be captured and routed away from the new building footprint via catch basins and new french drain systems.

  • New retaining walls and site paving were also added as part of this project.
