Boiler Building
Barton 1792 Distillery
Bardstown, Kentucky
Denham-Blythe Company was responsible for the design and construction of a new 16,500 SF PEMB structure to house (2) new high efficiency process boilers. The site location required mass excavation of rock for the 4,500 SF basement and a shoring stabilization system for the surrounding slopes adjacent to the new building.
The project also included new offices, restrooms, conference and central control room spaces.
Multiple access platforms, stairs and a mezzanine were installed for accessibility needs and storage of process related items.
Veins of underground spring water had to be captured and routed away from the new building footprint via catch basins and new french drain systems.
New retaining walls and site paving were also added as part of this project.
