Toyotetsu aimed to greatly increase their production by installing ten new presses. Denham-Blythe provided design-build services to efficiently construct an involved program of press pits, scrap tunnels, utility trenches, and clean out pits.

• Erected a conventional steel structure based on spacious 65’x65’ bays

• Built two 85’ clear span bays employing 20-ton overhead cranes

• Placed 10 press foundations - largest being 2000-ton press resting in 20’ deep pit bearing on caisson foundation system

• Constructed scrap loading docks

• Created side-loading shipping area

• Included a new break room for each of three working zones
